MultiClip

For macOS · Free

Copy many.Paste any.

Your Mac’s clipboard holds one thing. MultiClip gives it nine. Add a number to the shortcuts you already know.

macOS 13+ · Apple silicon & Intel · 464 KB

Two shortcuts. Nine slots.

⌘C+1–9

Copy

Select anything and press ⌘C with a number. It goes into that slot.

⌘V+1–9

Paste

Press ⌘V with a number to paste from that slot. Any slot, any order.

⌘Vhold

Forgot what’s where?

Hold ⌘V for a moment and MultiClip shows what’s in every slot. Press a number to paste, or let go to cancel. Just want a look? Press ⌥⌘0.

Let go of ⌘ to cancel

You can hold all three keys together, or tap the number right after ⌘C / ⌘V. On their own, ⌘C and ⌘V still work as usual.

Keeps everything

Text, links, rich text, images and files are pasted back exactly as you copied them.

Invisible

No windows and no menu bar icon. It starts with your Mac and waits in the background, and your slots survive restarts.

Works everywhere

If an app supports copy and paste, it works with MultiClip.

Tiny and native

Written in Swift. 464 KB, with one build for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Set up in under a minute.

01

Drag to Applications

Open MultiClip.dmg and drag MultiClip into your Applications folder.

02

Allow Accessibility

Open MultiClip. If macOS says it can’t check the developer, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Then switch MultiClip on under Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

03

Open it once more

MultiClip now runs in the background and starts again every time you log in. Copy with ⌘C + 1–9 and paste with ⌘V + 1–9.
